LATEST NEWS - Despite the BHF postponing their official trip until sometime in 2012 we are pressing ahead with an independent trip of our own although the BHF are providing some assistance to us to help us on our way.

Tour de France

It's the best three weeks of the year currently with the Tour De France now well underway although still behaving like it's the first day with all those crashes.

What a massive dissapointment to see Bradley Wiggins crash out yesterday. :-( I was contemplating a bet he'd make it onto the podium this year. Still we have Cavendish proving what a class act he is. Hopefully the rest of the country will wake up to his talent soon and appreciate his abilities as one of the UK's best ever sportsmen. The rest of the peloton is peppered with British talent making for fantastic viewing as a British fan.

So this weekend we embark on our own little tour de France. I am currently sat on the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry having a FEB (full English breakfast) before we cycle 50 miles to Lyons La Foret a beautiful Normandy village. Then Sunday we will ride into Paris to celebrate Gary's half century! Do you dare me to ride around the Arc D'Triumph on our bikes?

Last weekend I was here too supporting as a volunteer the BHF London to Paris off road bike ride. It was a fab weekend organised by the Tacye Blest at the Eastern events office for BHF. A lot of fun was had by all and a lot of money raised too.

I'll try and post some pics along the way.

This is what 'training' is all about. Paul, where are you...?

Au revoir, a bientot. Xx
